Merengue - Dance of the Dominican Republic

There is a story that the merengue was created by a man with a limp. It is said that dance to remember, people do not want him to go to dance imported with a limp. The public liked the energy of dance and imitating his dance moves.

The Merengue, both the dance and the music is in the wilderness. The pace is fast, and then the dance steps. The motion, but no effect on the upper body of the dancer. During this festival, as inother festivals in the Dominican Republic, parades will be organized. The Dominican flag is by the people in colorful clothing, as worn parade through the city. In the evening live band on the field and are brought to play merengue all night. It is not uncommon to see people dancing the merengue in the streets. Merengue Festival celebration in the town square, some guests are asked to merengue to dance on stage.
